Argos, part of the Home Retail Group has awarded ID Technology Group the installation and maintenance contract for 147 retail, and 4 four non-retail sites across the North West and Midlands to maintain it's CCTV, Intruder Alarm and Smokecloak systems.
The above contract was awarded following a successful installation of a fully integrated IP security system into Home Retail Group's New Data Centre in Wellingbrough, Northants.
Argos is one of the leading and well known retailers, selling general merchandise and products for the home from over 700 stores throughout the UK and Republic of Ireland, online and over the telephone. In the last financial year, sales were £4.3 billion and the group employed some 33,000 people across the business.
On average, 18 million UK households, or around two thirds of the population, have an Argos catalogue at home at any time and the retailer intends to open 20 stores this year.
